A50[MINASAN KON’NICHIWA!!] AKIKO Hair & Nails is what one considers the ultimate hidden gem!!!! Located inside, The Market NYC: A space that accommodates local independent artist and designer vendors selling eclectic jewelry, home goods and clothes. Being centered in the heart of  Greenwich Village which happens to be the most famous part of Manhattan, known for its historical art and culture, Akiko Hair & Nails offers services for an eclectic mixture of professional motivated crowd.

Based at this particular venue for only one year, the shop staff consist of only two nail artist ( Maco and Marina) that is invitingly available for hand-drawn nail art manicures, and Akiko being the onsite coiffeuse who styles hair for both male and female customers! The regular clientele ranges from movie film directors to actors and actresses [Reality TV celebrities; Heather Thompson and Carole Radziwil from, Housewives of New York are to name a few A-listers that can be recognizable identifiable]. Business operation is set-up by appointments via email or phone, however outside walk-in are welcome to people who show spontaneous interest in some serious immaculate nail artistry:

She is one of my favorite cool babes, especially in regard to her bold boy haircuts and mod fashions style! [Below] It is really cool to see how the dynamic of the entire shop is set up. The highlight of the shop’s interior décor includes liking of the; Evil eye pillows, polka dots wall painting, dainty chandelier hanging from the ceiling and a countryside inspired footstool used for pedicures:

AKIKO Hair & Nails represent impeccable sense of detailing which makes the Japanese culture that much more fascinating to know.
